In-Home Personal Support Services

Personal support is non-medical care, supervision and assistance provided in the home of the person or in the community to achieve increased independence, productivity and inclusion in the community.  This service is usually approved for persons who live independently.  Recipients of this service are typically higher-functioning and are encouraged to complete tasks independently, while under supervision of staff.  Personal support may compliment other habilitative services but cannot be the only waivered service provided to a person.
