We understand that many of our clients may not have strong support groups at home and sometimes, have to manage their care alone. Everyday tasks and activities can be daunting and a little extra support would be a welcome relief. Individualized Home Supports (without Training) encourages an individual’s independence, while aiding in care in the comfort of their home. Individualized Home Supports (without Training) is comprised of personal support and companion care.
Personal support & companion care is non-medical care, supervision and assistance provided in the home of the person or in the community to achieve increased independence, productivity and inclusion in the community. An individual may require In-Home Personal Support Services with any of the following:
- Light Housekeeping and laundry
- Meal preparation
- Grocery shopping and errands
- Reading novelsListening to stories
- Company to visit friends, family and attend other social events
Hmong Home Health Care provides Individualized Home Supports in St. Paul, Minnesota and surrounding twin cities. This service is usually approved for persons who live independently. Recipients of this service are typically higher-functioning and are encouraged to complete tasks independently, while under supervision of staff. Personal support may compliment other habilitative services but cannot be the only waivered service provided to a person.
